PREFACE

The ASEAN Document Series of 1998 - 1999 is the latest series of compilation of ASEAN documents mainly declarations, protocol agreements, joint press statements and treaties.

The period covered by this document series is highlighted by the 6th ASEAN Summit in Ha Noi, Viet Nam, the 3rd ASEAN Informal Summit in Manila, Philippines and events declaring the admission of Cambodia as a new member of ASEAN. Also included are the landmark documents on the ASEAN Vision 2020 and the Ha Noi Declaration of 1998.

It is hoped that our readers will find the ASEAN Document Series a useful and informative source of reference on the latest developments on ASEAN Affairs.
